Although going with IP PBX is a simple decision but one question will always require an answer. This question is choosing between hosted and on-premise IP PBX system. It however is quite evident that different points can be checked to find the better option between the both. One of the important things in this regard is about the future expansion.
There is no doubt that all organizations have to think about expanding their setup at one stage of time. When you will look to do so, you will find that hosted IP PBX system will be a better option especially in terms of handling all the risk and complications. But, the drawback of using this system is that most providers don’t become able to incorporate changes as quickly as you can. Also, there can be an issue of dissatisfaction as providers may or may not precisely stick to your needs.
On the other hand, on-premise IP PBX system expansion becomes easier for you as you can have complete control over things to be changed but the system will get complicated with expansion and that’s when you will have to seek an external help. So, both systems have pros and cons in terms of future expansion but you must consider this point in connection to your special circumstances as this will help to make a more useful decision.
